pick of the month - may 2018

Pick of the Month is where we choose a product that we think is the bee's knees. We'll go into extraordinary depth of the product and explain why we think it's brilliant. We'll also point out where it falls short. For people who like skipping and reading just a summary, you can read that if you click here. To view previous Pick of the Month's, please click here.

Our pick of the month now includes a bonus discount code, found at the bottom of the article!

Our Pick of the Month May 2018 is the...

Babyeze anna 3 piece set

The Babyeze Anna is a timeless romantic collection that has returned to the child's world in a classical style. Beautiful hand-made porcelain handles provide a sense of class. Available in a cool grey or white, it will be suitable for any type of decor. The entire set is flat pack, which means it can be very easy to transport and takes up virtually no room.

The cot bed has 3 adjustable height positions. You would want this at the highest level when baby is newborn, so that when you pick up baby you don't have to lean over the railing and hurt your stomach. As baby gets older your lower the mattress height, so that they can't get out by themselves. Once your baby outgrows the cot, at approx. 18 months your adjust it to the junior bed.

This can happen when baby is younger or older, dependant on if they can get themselves out of the cot. By removing the 2 rails, it becomes suitable to 5 years. For young children, you may feel safer using a toddler guard. This is a mini rail that ensures your baby won't roll out of the bed during night time.

Finally, a large under drawer provides even more storage space. Soft close drawers ensure no ones fingers get caught.

chest of drawers

3 large drawers provide more than enough storage for all of your baby's clothes. Once again featuring soft close drawers, you don't have to worry about slamming.

The top changer is designed to be used without bolts. This means when it is not in use, there are no ugly bolt holes. It is very long and can support a baby of 11 kg, approx. 12 months.

The wardrobe is a very large unit, taller than most. Allowing you to fit plenty of stylish clothes inside. 4 adjustable shelves allow you to optimise the interior as you like. The full length shelf provides a strong base to hold plenty of folded baby grows or blankets. There is also a half-width hanging rail, this long section allows you to properly hang baby's outfits and blankets. As with the cot bed and chest of drawers, the drawers are soft close.

things they did right

This is a bit of a tougher one to review, since it's our own design and import, but we're going to try and be fair here. The style of the furniture allows for you to match is with any decor. Most furniture sets have a flat pack cot bed but the chest of drawers and wardrobe are unable to do so. This means when you want to transport the set, it is very easy to do. Soft close drawers are a must for children furniture sets because you don't want anyone's fingers getting caught, so we included this in our set.

+ Stylish and suitable for any house
+ Easy to flat pack and transport
+ Very large units with plenty of storage
+ Soft close drawers

things they can do better

To keep the pieces flat pack and large the entire set is a bit heavy. It can also be a bit fiddly to put together, especially nailing the back board of the wardrobe. Truthfully, these aren't the end of the world and are both made easier with a second pair of hands.

- Heavy pieces
- Can be tricky to assemble

all in all

We wouldn't have designed and made this set if we didn't think it was the bees knees. We're very proud of the set and hope to release more exciting pieces in the future.
